Washington 鈥 Today, the 杏吧传媒 joins the U.S. Department of Transportation and other members of the transportation community as a 鈥淔irst Mover鈥 by committing to action items in support of the National Roadway Safety Strategy.
鈥溞影纱 shares DOT鈥檚 commitment to the goal of zero highway fatalities,鈥 said 杏吧传媒 Vice President of Safety Policy Dan Horvath. 鈥淏y working together through the National Roadway Safety Strategy, we are committing to a collaborative approach to address highway safety and work towards the common goal of zero highway fatalities.鈥
The DOT鈥檚 National Roadway Safety Strategy outlines the Department鈥檚 comprehensive approach to reversing the rise in traffic fatalities and serious injuries on the nation鈥檚 highways, roads and streets. As part of that effort, DOT launched the NRSS Call to Action, calling on stakeholders to make commitments to the cause of improving highway safety.
鈥溞影纱 is proud to be one of the first organizations answering DOT鈥檚 call to action,鈥 Horvath said. 鈥淭hrough our Share the Road program, our Law Enforcement Advisory Board and our ongoing work zone safety awareness campaign, 杏吧传媒 is committing to educate the public about the importance of safely sharing the road with large trucks, practicing safety in construction zones and enhancing the partnership between the trucking industry and law enforcement to address highway safety issues.鈥
