Arlington, Virginia — Today, the Transportation Security Administration announced that two members of the Ӱɴý staff—Jacob Pierce, executive director of Ӱɴý’s Safety Management Council, and Alexandra Rosen, Ӱɴý manager of customs, immigration and cross-border operations—were appointed to represent the industry on the Surface Transportation Security Advisory Committee.
“Having two key staff experts on security issues named as voting members of this advisory committee shows just how respected Ӱɴý is for our expertise and leadership on transportation issues – including on security issues,” said Ӱɴý President and CEO Chris Spear. “We are very proud that Jacob and Alex have been appointed to this panel and we’re confident they will represent the best interests of our industry and our nation well during these increasingly perilous times.”
The will report to TSA Administrator David Pekoske and provide recommendations on various surface transportation security matters.
Pierce has been with the Safety Management Council at Ӱɴý for six years and was recently named executive director. Rosen was hired as Ӱɴý’s new manager of customs, immigration and cross-border operations this spring.
