Washington – �Ӱɴ�ý has announced it is accepting applications for the second annual �Ӱɴ�ý Diversity Equity and Inclusion Change Leader Award.

“�Ӱɴ�ý is leading the charge to make the trucking industry more diverse, and part of that is recognizing carriers and companies that are doing their part to create welcoming, equitable workplaces for their employees,” said �Ӱɴ�ý President and CEO Chris Spear. “The Change Leader Award identifies industry leaders that are taking the important steps to provide equal opportunities from behind the wheel to the boardroom.”

The Diversity Equity and Inclusion Change Leader Award, sponsored by Tenstreet, encourages �Ӱɴ�ý members to implement a DEI program or continue to improve an established company DEI program. The nominations are critiqued on the ability to develop a program, improve an existing program and measure and benchmark a successful culture of acceptance and inclusion.

Last year, �Ӱɴ�ý recognized nine companies for their commitment to diverse and equitable workplaces.

“Tenstreet is honored to be associated with this award and �Ӱɴ�ý’s work on diversity, equity and inclusion,” said Marilyn Surber, head of industry relations at Tenstreet. “It is our hope that by recognizing industry leaders and their commitment to diversity, this award will encourage other �Ӱɴ�ý members to follow suit to ensure all people regardless of gender or ethnicity have the opportunity to enjoy a career at all levels in our industry.”
