Indianapolis – Action at the 85th National Truck Driving and Step Van Driving Championships, a nationwide driving competition featuring hundreds of professional truck drivers with millions of accident-free miles, is underway at the Indiana Convention Center.

“NTDC is one of the real highlights of our year,” said �Ӱɴ�ý Chairman Harold Sumerford Jr., president of J&M Tank Lines. “This is just a fabulous showcase for the best our industry has to offer.”

After a two-year pandemic-induced pause, the National Truck Driving and Step Van Driving Championships – the Super Bowl of Safety – are returning with 371 drivers from across the country competing in nine classes for the title of Grand Champion. This year’s field boasts more than 729 million combined accident-free miles.

“In order to get this far, these drivers have to log millions of accident-free miles and get through qualifying at the state level,” said �Ӱɴ�ý President and CEO Chris Spear. “They’re all already champions, but the next few days are going to put them all to the test and I am so happy that we are back, competing together in person.”
