Arlington, Virginia 鈥 Today, 杏吧传媒鈥 Technology & Maintenance Council announced it will host its Vehicle Electrical/Electronic Architecture and Fleet Benchmarking Conference, the first of two major virtual events, on June 24.

鈥淭MC鈥檚 Summer Conference, our first major virtual event in the history of the Council, puts a sharp focus on next generation vehicle interconnectivity and networking, issues pertaining to today鈥檚 vehicle diagnostic standards and new developments that may threaten them in California, as well as the latest roadside benchmarking data from our ongoing partnership Council fleets and FleetNet America,鈥 said TMC Executive Director Robert Braswell. 鈥淲e're excited to be able to offer a full day of sessions dedicated to these topics for the hundreds of attendees we have already registered for this online event.鈥

The one-day conference is free and will showcase industry activities pertaining to advancing current and next generation commercial vehicle interconnectivity and net- working solutions. The conference also presents the latest findings from the TMC/FleetNet America Vertical Roadside Breakdown Benchmarking Program based on fleet-provided data. TMC and FleetNet America鈥檚 Vertical Benchmarking Program is a roadside breakdown benchmarking service enabling companies to compare their fleets鈥 unscheduled roadside repairs with those of similar fleets.

The agenda includes:

  • Initial Findings of TMC鈥檚 S.1 andS.7 Tractor-Trailer Electrical/ Electronic Vehicle Architecture Connectivity
  • Industry Update on California Air Resources Board (CARB) Future Acceptance of the SAE J1939 Diagnostic Trouble Codes
  • An update on the TMC/FleetNet Vertical Roadside Breakdown Benchmarking Program
  • Industry Report on the Health Ready Components Demonstration Project

This is TMC鈥檚 third summer conference, but due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis forced TMC to pivot to a virtual format for this year鈥檚 event to a virtual platform.
