ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Q2 Advocacy Update
Webinar Description: ÌýÌý
The first 100 days of the new administration are in the rearview, and ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ has been busy seizing regulatory and legislative wins to advance trucking’s priorities. ÌýJoin ÐÓ°É´«Ã½â€™s Chief Advocacy & Public Affairs Officer Ed Gilroy and other top ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ advocacy staff for an informative webinar that will provide an overview of our accomplishments to date and preview the opportunities and challenges that still lie ahead.Ìý
By engaging with our congressional champions, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ has been instrumental in the reintroduction of bills addressing issues ranging from lawsuit abuse and cargo theft to infrastructure and EV mandates. ÌýAs we shepherd those bills through the legislative process, we are also exercising a pivotal role in other consequential proposals that are under active consideration, including comprehensive tax reform and a rollback of the previous administration’s unworkable emissions requirements. ÌýIn addition to these topics, Gilroy and his team will relay the state of play on tariffs and how ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ has been in constant communication with Executive Branch officials about the importance of limiting the impact on our essential industry.
A brief question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
