They will also preview how our federation is preparing for the year ahead, navigating a challenging political climate to make progress on our priorities, including tort reform, infrastructure, cargo theft and safety. As these issues are debated, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ will have a seat at the table and will partner with our congressional champions and the Trump Administration to ensure that trucking’s perspective is paramount.

As president and CEO, Chris leads ÐÓ°É´«Ã½â€™s efforts to advocate and educate on behalf of the trucking industry. Employing more than 7 million people and moving more than 10 billion tons of freight annually, trucking is the industry most responsible for moving America’s economy.Ìý
Prior to his time ÐÓ°É´«Ã½, Chris worked in the transportation, energy, labor and technology sectors in over five different continents. ÌýMost recently, Chris worked for Hyundai Motor Company, where he served as vice president of government affairs. In that role, he served on the Executive Committee for Global Automakers. ÌýPreviously, Chris was ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ senior vice president of legislative affairs and vice president of global government relations for Honeywell International.Ìý
Chris also has extensive experience in the federal government, serving as Deputy Representative for the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq, Assistant Secretary of Labor for Policy and as professional staff in the U.S. Senate.Ìý
Chris is on the board of directors for the American Transportation Research Institute, the Trucking Cares Foundation and the Louisa Swain Foundation. ÌýHe has been awarded the US Department of Defense Joint Civilian Service Medal and Honeywell’s Premier Achievement Award. Ìý
Chris holds a master's and bachelor's degree from the University of Wyoming. He is married to Michelle and they have four children.

Ed Gilroy is the Chief Advocacy and Public Affairs Officer of the American Trucking Association, the nation’s leading organization representing the interests of the trucking industry.Ìý
Named Chief Advocacy and Public Affairs Officer in 2024, Gilroy leads ÐÓ°É´«Ã½â€™s efforts to advance a pro-trucking, pro-safety, pro-efficiency agenda on Capitol Hill, before federal regulators and in state capitals around the country.Ìý
Gilroy was previously ÐÓ°É´«Ã½'s Senior Vice President of Legislative Affairs, returning to ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ in 2017 after having worked for the Federation earlier in his career.Ìý
Beyond his time with ÐÓ°É´«Ã½, Gilroy has extensive experience on Capitol Hill, including as director of workforce policy for Republicans on the House of Representatives Committee on Education and Labor. Gilroy also has worked as a professional staffer for the committee, as well as for Rep. Rod Chandler (R- Washington).
Gilroy also worked for the National Association of Manufacturers and the Equitable Life Assurance Society during his career.
Gilroy has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California.
